Friday, August 1, 2025 3:52PM CDT USDA on Friday released its annual Land Values Summary report. The average value includes the value of both the land and buildings on farms. The cropland value nationally averaged $5,830 an acre, up 4.7% from 2024. The average value of pasture was $1,920 an acre, up 4.9% from a year ago.
Friday, August 1, 2025 3:36PM CDT USDA on Friday released new state-level data on cash rents, showing the national average increased by $1 per acre to $161 in 2025.

September corn is up 3/4 cents and September soybeans are unchanged. December corn is up 1 cent and November soybeans are unchanged. September KC wheat is down 3 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 3 1/2 cents, and September MIAX Minneapolis wheat is down 2 1/2 cents.
The castle complex came under severe pressure Thursday, which seemed to be more technical than anything else. An overbought market eventually corrects, and that is what took place. Hogs defied any spillover pressure and cash weakness to post limited gains.
